| Remote Classes, Private Lessons and Mentoring Now Offered via Internet |
Anyone with a broadband internet connection can now receive live training, mentoring or other assistance with eBay skills. The interactive presentations are broadcast live across the internet to homes and desktops. No special equipment is required, although a headset is recommended. Sound can also be delivered by telephone. Access to expert training and information may be hampered by distance, local availabilty of qualified trainers, expense, or even a convenient meeting time or place. Busy parents and business people, older folks, and those living in small or rural communities all face challenges in building their skills. Now, the meeting is on your computer, wherever you are. The meeting can take place when you have time. No travel is required. No travel and no expensive meeting room means less expense and more convenience for everyone! Rates are determined by time required, scheduled time, and material covered. If you'd like more information on training, mentoring or other help via Internet, please email or call. Ed. note: I've been asked several times about this. I do not use the PowerU-prepared materials, as these are not licensed for use in distance learning situations. I use other professional materials and tailor the presentations to meet the needs of the student. |

The OKC Sellers group will return from Holiday Break with our first meeting of 2009 on Thursday, January 8 at 7:00pm. We will explore selling issues, the latest eBay news, and enjoy personal help from OKC's leading eBay expert and personality, "Uncle Joe" Adamson. eBay Live, Chicago -- Several eBay members were recognized for their contributions to the eBay Community and charitable giving during the keynote presentation at this year's eBay Live convention. Among the five members inducted into the Hall of Fame by CEO John Donahoe and President Global Marketplaces Lorrie Norrington was member unclejoeadamson, known simply as "Uncle Joe" to his many friends, students and fans. Lauded for his efforts at educating other members and contributing to eBay through the Voices of the Community program, Uncle Joe was presented with an award and a $2500 donation from the eBay Foundation to his choice of charitable organization, the Skyline Urban Ministry. Skyline Urban Ministry operates a food pantry, clothes closet, free eyeglass clinic and other programs meant to support and enrich the lives of children and adults who require assistance. Since the Commmunity Hall of Fame was created in 2002, Uncle Joe is one of only 37 members to receive the award. |
